Why is your monobloc air conditioning system dripping? Tips on how to fix it.

Find out why your monobloc air conditioning system is dripping or could be dripping!
Every air conditioning system inevitably produces condensation. Our monobloc air conditioners are generally characterized by low condensate production as long as the temperature settings are not extremely below 23°C in cooling mode or heating mode is set.
The condensate water produced is normally discharged to the outside through the exhaust air and evaporates. However, undesirable water loss can occur under certain conditions.

In this article, we will examine the possible causes of your air conditioning system dripping and give you practical tips on how to fix these problems.

6 tips for fixing when your air conditioner is dripping

1. incorrect wall positioning:

It is crucial that your air conditioning unit is positioned correctly on the wall. Incorrect positioning can result in the condensation water not being drained away properly. Therefore, carefully check that your appliance is aligned with a slight slope to the right and correctly installed. Such a slope ensures smooth drainage of the condensate water. We recommend 1 - 2 % slopes.

2. incorrect installation of the condensate hose:

An incorrectly laid condensate hose can impair efficient water drainage. Ensure that the condensate drain and the corresponding hole have been drilled with a sufficient gradient so that the water can drain away without any problems. Please note that there is no condensate pump in your appliance so that the condensate can only drain away by natural gradient.

3. kink in the condensate hose:

A kinked condensate hose can significantly impair the smooth drainage of water. Carefully inspect the hose and remove any kinks. An unobstructed hose ensures trouble-free water drainage.

4. clogged condensate hose:

One of the most common causes of dripping is a blocked condensate hose. Deposits of dirt, dust or insects can block the water drain. Check both the inside and outside and clean the hose regularly to prevent blockages and ensure continuous drainage.

5. displaced condensate hose connection to the appliance:

Check the connection of the condensate hose to the air conditioner for any looseness or displacement. A loose or displaced connection can cause leaks. Ensure that the connection is tight and correct to prevent potential leaks

6. dirty condensate drain rail in the appliance:

A dirty condensate drainage rail in the appliance can impair the proper drainage of water. To remove deposits and ensure smooth drainage, we recommend removing the front cover of the appliance. Using a screwdriver, you can loosen the upper screws under the ventilation grille and fold the cover forwards. The white condensate drainage rail is located above the air outlet.
Use a disposable syringe to slowly run about 300-500 ml of warm water into the rail several times from the left. This should help to loosen any dirt.

Regular maintenance and checks are essential!

By checking these potential causes and taking the appropriate action, you can effectively fix the dripping of your monobloc air conditioning system and restore smooth operation. Always bear in mind the importance of regular cleaning and inspection to prevent future problems and ensure the efficiency of your air conditioning system.
